The Telescope

You find it in a Backpack pocket you were quite sure was empty. Somehow it fits, and it weighs almost nothing. When you lift it, the faraway sky and the ground beneath your feet both seem to wait for you.

Choose a direction.

A shadow crossing the path. A tiny nose moving in the clover. The grass waving hello. Or the Moon, a planet, a scattering of stars, and a question you haven't thought to ask yet. Turn the dial toward the near or the impossibly far. Nothing new has been placed there. You made room to see it.

Wonder has no edge marked on the map. Look closer. Look farther.

A photo, a ridiculous title, a doodle, “COME LOOK!”, or a quiet moment with no record at all can be your Sparkle Flair. The telescope asks only that you look.

The telescope doesn't decide what counts. It doesn't keep score. If you miss something today, it will still be glad to come along tomorrow.
