For one little moment, you were there.
Look!
Something Caught You
Maybe it was enormous.
Maybe it was tiny.
Maybe it was beautiful, ridiculous, interesting, funny, strange, familiar, unexpected — or impossible to explain.
A bunny's nose wiggled.
The entire sky turned pink.
Your dog did something so ridiculous you stopped what you were doing.
A song you hadn't heard in years started playing.
You spotted a bug you had never seen before.
Someone said something that made you laugh out loud.
You looked at something you've passed a thousand times and suddenly thought:
Wait. Has that ALWAYS been there?
For a moment, whatever else was happening fell away.
You stopped.
You looked.
You were there.
Smack-dab in the middle of your own life.
Around here, we call those moments Daily Sparkles.
From the Trail
The Grass Waves Hello and Goodbye
Sunlit ripples sweep the field,
a quiet, shimmering sea.
As I pass, the grass-tops sway
and wave hello with glee…
And when I turn to leave the trail,
they wave goodbye to me.
I pray my steps stay soft and slow,
so wonder calls me near
that I may never wander past
and miss nature’s simple beauty here.
