Sunny Seats
The seat you are in may be real. It may not be the only seat available.
Ever had one problem, one outcome, one conversation, or one Rock get so close to the window that eventually it was almost all you could see?
The Same Bus, Different Windows
Imagine you're riding beside a rock wall.
You look out your window and there it is.
Rock.
Still rock.
More rock.
At some point, it would be pretty reasonable to think the landscape is rock.
But across the aisle, somebody may be looking out a different window.
Maybe they can see sky. Trees. Water. A road curling somewhere you cannot see from your seat.
Your window was not wrong.
The rock really was there.
You just couldn't see the whole landscape from that seat.
Wait. Does That Mean I Have to Move?
Nope.
Another seat existing does not mean you are supposed to sit in it.
You may like the seat you're in. You may hate the other one. You may not be ready to move. You may need to sit beside the Rock for a while because something about it matters.
Sunny Seats does not begin with pick a better view.
It begins with something much smaller:
What else might become visible from here?
Nothing has to be solved first.
The road does not even have to change.
Sometimes noticing that there may be more than one window is enough to make the bus suddenly much more interesting.

The seat folds itself down to approximately the size of a very optimistic postcard and slips into your Backpack. Apparently normal furniture rules do not apply here.

- Make enough room to notice that the view in front of you can be completely real without being the only view available.
- Materials
- One shape-shifting seat, one window, your curiosity, and your agency.
- Weight
- Nearly nothing. Folds into the Backpack despite showing absolutely no respect for the laws of furniture.
- Magical Properties
- May become a bus seat, park bench, kitchen chair, rock, floor cushion, or suspiciously comfortable patch of grass. Changes the view without pretending the Rock disappeared.
How to Use It
- Notice the view from where you are.
- Do not argue with it. Your window may be completely real.
- Set down the Sunny Seat when you want a little more room to look around.
- Ask what else might be visible—or what is still yours to choose—from here.
- Stay, move, wait, experiment, or fold the Seat back into your Backpack. You decide.
Someone may point out another window. You decide whether to look, move, stay exactly where you are, or come back another day.
