Your Mirror
What If I Know I Need Something Before I Know What I Think?
This is inconvenient, but very human: sometimes the need arrives before the explanation. đ
You may not know what you think about the Rock yet. You may not have the right emotion word. You may not know what you want to do next.
You might know only:
I need something.
That is enough information to turn toward your own Mirror.
The Mirror does not tell you what you should need.
It asks:
What do I need right now?
Sometimes your own words are ready. Sometimes they are still wandering around looking for you.
That is where borrowed structure can help. Not borrowed answersâjust a shape to pour your own words into:
Maybe I need ______.
Maybe I need less ______.
Maybe I need more ______.
Maybe I need someone / somewhere / something that helps me ______.
I don't know yet, but I think I need ______.
You do not have to fill any of those in while reading this page. They are simply language you can recognize and carry if you ever need it.
And you do not have to know what you think about the Rock before you know what you need while you are carrying it.
A trail crosses here
This is the Mirror doing its job from the Sunny Spots point of view: turning the question back toward the Traveler instead of handing them a prescribed answer.
