🤝 A Gate Adventure

Meet at the Gate

Two chairs and a thermos

The Story

One morning, the traveler carried two folding chairs to her Gate and set them on opposite sides.

She added a little shelf just wide enough for a thermos and two cups. This was either brilliant design or a very small café.

A friend arrived. Neither wanted to cross the boundary that day. They had things to say, and some things they weren't ready to say.

So they sat. They watched a cloud that looked like a potato wearing a crown. They shared a story about a dog who had stolen a sock.

After a while they talked about the difficult thing, a little. They didn't solve it. They didn't need to.

When the tea was gone, they folded their chairs and went their separate ways. The Gate stayed where it was. So did the possibility of another visit.

Through the Traveler's Lens

Could connection happen without either person giving up needed space? When would meeting at the opening feel possible—and when would it not?

You get to decide what, if anything, belongs on your own trail.

A Little Borrowed Belief

“I'd like to talk, but I need us to keep this conversation within some limits.” Meeting at the Gate is an option, not a requirement.

Borrow a possibility, experiment with it, or leave it here. Your Gate belongs to you.
